Private Sector: 70% Margins

One of Telepharmacy Solutions' largest private sector customers is achieving remarkably improved prescription profit margins, while concurrently improving customer service. Their results are so good, this customer wants to remain anonymous for competitive reasons.

For example, at one of their Telepharmacy sites, average revenue per Rx is $27.88. After deducting the cost of the drug (including repackaging), the average profit margin is $14.73! At another site, with different patient needs, revenues average $29.20 per prescription, and have a net profit margin of $12.70! Under this scenario, if each site dispenses just 20 prescriptions per day, 300 days a year, site one would gross $167,280 and net $88,380, and site two would gross $175,200 and net $76,200!

This IHN( Integrated Healthcare Network) is installing ADDS point-of-care dispensing systems throughout their large network. In addition to reaping dramatically increased revenues and profits that weren’t being captured in the past, patients are expressing appreciation for the convenience of no longer having to travel to another pharmacy to get their prescription filled.
