Telepharmacy Solutions holds the patent for dispensing drugs over the Internet. We developed the technology behind the patent because we recognized early-on that effective use of the Internet would critically enhance the efficiency of the $1 trillion U.S. healthcare system by providing methods by which to improve outcomes and lower overall costs.

We intend to be a major player in the emerging e-commerce health care space. Our existing product lines, the ADDS outpatient point-of-care system and Drugsampling, utilize the Internet.

Streamlining the Process
The ability Telepharmacy Solutions technology provides to control costs, streamline the drug distribution process and enhance connectivity will be in great demand.

Ownership of the Script
The answer is critical, because whomever fills the first prescription is in the best position to control the entire prescription cycle, including refills. A number of players are vying for ownership, including traditional retail pharmacies, Internet pharmacies, mail order pharmacies, PBMs and point-of-care providers.

Ultimately, the ownership of the entire prescription cycle will be determined at the point-of-care by the patient with the capture of the first prescription fill. This is the VA’s existing model, in which Telepharmacy Solutions is an increasingly important partner.
